Still waiting on books ...

Are there any skirmishes available to the Later 80 Years Wars Dutch?

I thought the most similar to a skirmish troop that you could see in later 80YW was a fight in "caponeras" (that is how Spanish call tunnels scratched under trench. like in Breda or Bergen-op-zoom sieges).

Perhaps some enfant perdue detachment, but I think that's all.

They also get 0-2 warships to boot. One of the few armies that gets naval units.

Uh so are you supposed to actually have some kind of ship model or do you just mark on the table edge "the boats are here" I had been considering re-doing Dutch, which was my 20mm DBR army originally. I think I can re use their field fortifications in the larger 28mm scale.

Can the Dutch call on any allies?

Can they use brigade guns?

The lack of regimental guns in a list isn't a huge disadvantage IMO. I am going off the idea of using them routinely even when they are permitted.

Although they (slightly) increase a BG's firepower, and impact conbat, they don't increase its overall resilience at all.

6 BGs of Pike/Shot without Regimental Guns costs slightly less than 5 BGs with Regimental Guns, and may be as or more effective, depending on the circumstances.
