Wish list

Post by Skanvak »

I would like to see the following implemented (of course that mean that I will buy this feature, because I rather buy feature than army list actually).

_ LAN game for DAG game
_ direct play (may be not through slitherine server)
_ DAG human hotseat

_ surport for use of custom map in DAG battle
_ better campaign support this include :
_ saving army after battle (in the custom army list, or campaign army list)
_ custom army list for use in campaign
_ use of custom map specific to camapign
_ editor for unit

Double on the DAG human hotseat - seemed odd not to be able to play against another human locally with a custom army/scenario.

I'd support with the wish for LAN play.

One or two more wishes/thoughts:

More choice of terrain type - as it is a crowded terrain means you may get lots of woods, or you may get bare hills and/or areas of water. Some armies like (and historically had) wooded home terrain, others hilly and so on. I'd like to be able to specify whether I want woods-heavy or hills-heavy, if you see what I mean.

Fortifications - at present they can only be laid out along the length of the map, not vertically or diagonally. This means you can't use them to e.g. defend a flank or follow a terrain feature, which greatly restricts their usage (to the detriment of armies who used field fortifications extensively - if not always with success). Could fortifications be made usable in other than east-west lines please.

Swords and Scimitars - a great expansion and very welcome, but having almost all the cavalry generally called Ghilman/Mamluk depicted as lancers (some other bow/sword are also depicted the same way) I find very confusing (it also offends my sense of historical pedantry :) ). I know accurate figures for Moslem cavalry of the period aren't exactly prolific and "with lances" is how figure manufacturers make them, but a bit of work with Photoshop and I'm sure those lances could be gone :)

Please see the General FoG Requests thread (to have them all sorted out in one place, making it easier for Slitherine to spot them out. like in offering them no excuses as "we didn't knew" :) ).
