Game starts but drops out just after the slitherine logo.

Hi all I'm new and love the game. We have a CEAW club at work. But I cannot play mine anymore. The unmoded game loads fine and the GS mod loads fine but is the new v1.06 just will not play. It works on fast play but not on normal. The game starts plays video and then get to the Slitherine logo then drops out, no error message.

Ive tried deleting the settings file but no luck.
