basicly every unit is superior but they have fewer.
I personally try to flank and get side shots, also i use infantry against tanks pretty effectively. Still, i getting my ass handed to me
anyone else got any strategies?
First, use your equipment in their battlefield role and be patient.
Infantry can scout and see farther. They are good when there is lots of terrain to hide in. Hang you tanks back and react to threats while some infantry scout ahead and try to make contact with the enemy.
Tanks are good for killing tanks and attacking especially hard targets. A friend of mine served in the US Army in Germany as a tank commander. He gave me some good advice for target priority. They use a target priority system.
Attack the closest target in the following order.
1. Specialists (either infantry or armor depending on your unit's ability)
2. Flanking unit
3. Any visible unit
Save your bombardment assets for capturing victory locations. This is where the enemy will defend tooth and nail. Bombardments will often sap the defending unit morale making them easier to suppress, assuming they didn't get suppressed by the bombardment.
If the going gets tough, fall back and regroup. I played "Tiger Ambush" 2 times and lost. On the third try, I fell back immediately while I dealt with the initial tiger onslaught with all of my bombardment assets. If you are lucky, you can take 1 or 2 of them out and sap the morale of the third. Setting up ambush lanes in and around the 2nd village, I was able to hand the Germans their head on a platter. I then counter attacked and re-took the lost VPs.
When enemy units get suppressed, get in close and light them up! If you are adjacent to them when morale falls below 0, they will surrender.
When your units get suppressed, fall back with them and let them regroup out of harm's way.
As mentioned above, working out a good combined arms strategy will make you pretty tough to beat!
Hope that helps,
John
