Monitor resolution?

The highest I can see is 1024 x 768 but i don't know if it autodetected my settings, I want to get a better monitor will the picture be stretched out or does this game support resolution for widescreen monitors.

I'm assuming it does. My monitor is 32" HDTV and I'm playing at 1920 x 1080 right now and it looks great.

I'm assuming it does as well. I'm at 2560 x 1440 16:9 widescreen here and it look fabulous.
