I repainted a skin and placed the dds in MyDoc\MyGames\MyCamp\Data\Battle\UnitTextures but it doesn't show in my campaign battle.
What's wrong?

Assuming you mean
My Documents\My Games\BBCBA\Campaigns\YourCamp\Data\Battle\UnitTextures
Then is should certainly work. I just checked it out and it is fine. Remember that the name of the texture used by a unit can't be changed, the assetfilename tag in the squads file applies to the S4F file, and that file includes the name of the texture, and cannot be altered without building a new model. Could that be the issue?
Cheers

I think you might be making things more difficult for yourself. If you are using existing models, don't rename them - it just makes it harder to keep track of the texture they use. Then you just copy in their textures (in the case of your Japan mod, the Caro) and redraw them. You can still rename the squad etc, you're just pointing it at the Caro asset.
Let me know if I can be more help.

Good - we did try and throw some game stuff in there with the modding tool we shipped
Basically the 3D file can (in theory) use lots of textures for different meshes within it. Now we don't do that in this game because it makes the mono textures and destroyed textures too hard to manage, but the 3D file format expects it. So the file has a list of texture files that it wants to load - if you rename the 3D file, it doesn't alter that list.
Hopefully, now that the 3D tools are up and live, someone will be able to bring in real Pacific models for people like you to use. I really liked the campaign screen you posted - looks very cool.
Cheers
