Pursuits with multiple units charging side-by-side

Post by pcelella »

I was just wondering if the order in which multiple units charge is dictated by the rules. My concern is in a situation where one may have say, three units, positioned side-by-side, and my opponent positions a skirmisher unit in such a way as to force all three units to test not to charge. But in addition, the two outer units would need to wheel in front of the middle unit to complete their charge. Now, let's say all three units fail their "do not charge" rolls, the skirmisher evades, and then the three units roll their pursuits. Are these pursuits resolved the say way that an initial pursuit after a routing unit is? In other words, does the unit rolling longest move first (possibly creating quite a traffic jam), or does the charging player have the choice on which unit to move first?

These are charges, not pursuits. I believe the player doing the charges chooses the order.

Sounds like one or more BGs will be dropping a file into the back ranks to avoid friends.
