Newbie question: "Vanilla Game"?

So what does that mean in this forum's parlance?

And is it still true that Mac players can only play Mac players?

Vanilla game means the original CeaW you bought. GS is the Grand Supremacy expansion.

For CeaW it's only possible for PC users to play PC users and MAC users to play MAC users since the MAC version is only v1.06 while the PC version is v1.12. This is because Freeverse hasn't updated CeaW to v1.12.

For GS a MAC version is not officially supported yet. If it will be supported then both PC and MAC players can play against each other. It's up to Slitherine and Freeverse to decide if they want to support a MAC version of GS.

I just bought the mac version and hope very much that the GS expansion will become available soon!
