Forum Problems

This may be a coincidence, but I thought I'd raise this point to see if there is a potential problem with the Forum.

I tend to view the Forum on and off from 21:00 to 01:00 (UK time) most days and rarely have a problem. I also tend to look at the forum from about 12:30 to 13:15 (approx.) (UK time) most days (Mon - Fri) too. During the lunchtime viewing I tend to get a fair amount of 404 Page not found messages, generally starting just after 13:00.

I'm wondering if you have some maintenance (backups or something) or something else that is happening a lot at this time? Or if this is a peak time for user requests on the server - Europe joining UK for lunchtime browsing?

Does anyone else notice this?

There is no maintenace happening so not sure what the cause is. It could be that the site is too busy or that somewhere between us and you is too busy. Without more data its hard to say.

Well, 13:39 and it's happened again. I'm assuming (probably wrongly) that since I get a customised Slitherine 404 page, as opposed to a standard Microsoft 404 page then the problem is at your end.

13:31 first problem, a few more just trying to post this.

IT may be nothing, but just before the 1st occurence I got a blank screen with "MySQL not connected" message. I haven't seen this before!
