ANNOUNCEMENT: HUBCON Theme Tournament, Oct 2-3, USA

HUBCON 2010 will host a Byzantium at War: 493 to 1071 AD Field of Glory Themed Tournament in 15mm on October 2-3, 2010, in Hattiesburg, MS, at the Forrest County Multi-Purpose Center located at 962 Sullivan Rd, Hattiesburg, MS 39401, just south of Hattiesburg off US 98.

This will be a 4 round, 1 list, 800 point tournament using the lists and options available between 493 AD and 1071 AD from the Field of Glory Companion Book – Decline and Fall plus the following:

Legions Triumphant (Early Alan, Sassanid Persian, Gepid/Early Lombard, Western Hunnic)
Wolves from the Sea (Magyar)
Oath of Fealty (Early Hungarian)
Swords and Scimitars (Fatimid Egyptian, Georgian, Seljuk Turk, Cuman)
Lost Scrolls (Pre-Islamic Arabian, Later Pre-Islamic Bedouin, Axumite, Beja/Nile Valley Blemmye/Early Nobatae)

Rules of the Tournament:
1. 4 rounds. 3.5 hours per round plus 2d6 minutes of random. Time stop is finish the phase.
2. Lists may not have more than 800 points.
3. Rule book and current FAQ will be used. Judge’s rulings are final.
4. All troops must be painted.
5. Accelrated Pairings will be used for the first two rounds, numbers permitting.
5. Christopher Anders will referee. Lists are due to shadypage@charter.net no later than midnight September 25. Late lists grant opponent choice of terrain type from available choices and lists will be posted for all to see.

October 2
Saturday
Registration 0900
Round 1: 0915-1300
Lunch Break: 1300-1345
Round 2: 1345-1730
Dinner Break: 1730-1900
Round 3: 1900-2245

Sunday
Round 4: 0900-1245
Awards: 1300 until

Please refer back to the top as the times for each round have been modified to reflect the venue hours of operation.

aaah - just noticed its the listed armies AND anything from Decline & Fall....

That widen's the theme a touch :oops:

Don't worry about the Christian Nubians. The nearest is Joey in alabama and he's never run them. Silvio and myself likely won't be there.

Several appear to be staying at the Days Inn at the Thornhill Rd exit as there are no hotels immediately near the venue.
