Hi everyone

This is my first AAR post, should be interesting. I have some experience in the game from before but my computer crashed and it took some time to fix a new one and reinstall. Sorry for that all you people who suffered, but here i am, back at it again.

This game started with a lightning opening from the Germans, 2turn Polen and Denmark fell units were being railed over to the western front. I started reinforcing the French lines and also dispatched a british army consisting of Mech, 2INF and 4GAR. War declared on Holland and shortly after that fell. Winter came and for some reason Germans didn´t attack, i was biding my time and prepared the defense of France by bringing almost every avalable unit over. Attack Started in Februari40(quite late i would say) Germans began pushing towards the french lines, totally superior Luftwaffe is deminishing RAF and the alone French fighter. We start from there....

How do i post the pictures? LOL!!! I have print screen and want to post here but can´t.....a little help please

You need to use a website that stores pictures, like flickr.

I use <print>, then paste the image from the clipboard into Word. I then use Screen Hunter, a free screen scraper, to capture a jpeg file. Then upload the jpeg file to flickr. You then need to copy the url of the picture, under it's file properties in flickr, and past it into the Slitherine message box, highlight it and use the Img button to denote it's an image.

I don't use Screen Hunter directly as the screen capture because it seems to have problems with CEAW, and often causes CEAW to crash.

Here's another option that was suggested to me that I've found easy;

Set up a free account at photobucket ( http://photobucket.com/ ). You then upload your pictures there, then use the image tags (i.e., img button) and place the link to your picture at photobucket there.

The link to use is the "Direct Link" which you can select, copy and then paste between the two image tags. An example of the direct link is given in the attached jpg. Also, I tend to set up a separate album for each AAR I play and for related subjects too (e.g., GS Victory Stats).

I don´t get it....i have uploaded the picture in Photobucket what do i do with the picture? Could you please explain it like i am 5 year old? Lol

Steps:

1. Upload image to photobucket

2. Copy the Direct Link of that image

3. Paste the Direct Link between the image tags in your post.

France is about to fall. Italy just joined the theatre to punish the french. I am gonna evacuate the British expeditionary forces. Try and fill in the gaps with French GAR. I am gonna leave a couple of surprises on west coast form of british GAR in Laroche, Nantes, Brest. I don´t really know if it is worth it? But is irritating anyway...

Home Front looking good, another fighter is coming in play next turn. Fighter upgrade also pretty soon. So far in the French campaign i manage to sink German BB and DD so threat of insvasion is far away. Lufwaffe is on the other hand very powerful already, i count 4fighters and 4tacs. I have used up the french fleet totally, sub is the only thing left, stationed at norway to give away andy Axis attempt.

Science progress, i am not really sure what i will go for, so i would appreciate any suggestions. I think i will go another one in General and Marina, alos infantry. For the americans i would go for Tanks, General, Flight.

I manage to destroy German inf. Another heavy loss for Axis. That makes in total a German Tank, inf, BB, and DD in the French campaign.

August 26 1940
France is still in the game, i only give her max 2 turns more though, this scene seems lost now. Heavy entrenchment in Paris of 8 though.

Med Scene: I have sent part of Home fleet to support the rest, my main strategy is not to conqer anything yet, but to get the Axis deploying valuable resources to africa much needed elsewhere. I will march on Tobruk to start.

After this post a friend told me that blockading port doesn´t effect axis supply, only presence of capital ships and number of controlled ports. News to me, but i will do something else with my fleet then....

I just love this as an allied player, these three ports deny him access to the atlantic with sub to repair, i gain extra PPs and it would take a smaller army to destry those GAR or some air support.

December 4 1940

This shoot is before my turn.

I moved to destroy the italian fleet, bad results and only got one BB and damaged the other. Sub was lurking as i suspected the lower x i marked, DD moved in and got 4 steps of it without any damage. Nice!!! British akrika cor is now on retreat mode to and easiear defense line.

Seems to be going well for the Allies, I also like to occupy the French ports. But no need to retreat from Tobruk I think, does not seem like the Axis have much in the way of offensive material in place (no Germans?), and with two FTRs and two CVs you should well be able to hold off until the Luftwaffe very soon has to leave for Russia in any case. Just get a leader in Africa ASAP, would benefit Royal Navy as well

Yeah....you are probably right Trulster, but i would like to lure him over to this side of tobruk were i can use my BB to bombard his troops and destroy them. I found tobruk hard to come around. If i don´t i will probably face them on the italian islands and mainland instead.
