mamelouk in eod, can't dismount ?

mamelouk in eod, can't dismount ?

i would like to know why the mamelouk can't dismount in empire of the dragons
when they can dismount in all the other book

la bretagne ça vous gagne...
...mais ça fait pas gagner !

soit on les brûle ,et on venge jeanne,
soit on les defonce à la mitraille et on venge la vielle garde.

Pretty much because they don't appear to have done.

Also we may have been a bit generous with the dismounting allowed in some of the earlier books.
