Thanks Igor, we know your views on DR, but as discussed before Steam and Gamersgate are completely different services and not comparable at all and not things we are interseted in and we will not be using them as an alternative to DR.
We heard about this this morning and have already been in contact with DR about this. All we kbnow so far is what we read in the story linked to. It seems the affiliate system has had a search function performed on it which returned data it was not supposed to in some way, though DR are vague about exactly what happened. It occured in January apparently. No credit card data is involved but we don't know exactly what data was included. The guy who did it attaempted to sell it and was reported to the authorities and arrested pretty much immediately so as we understand it any data he did get stopped with him.
When we know for sure we'll let you know but I dont think it is anything to be concerned about.

From Digital River :
This did not affect any of Slitherine's customers. As per the article it only affected one affiliate program, which Slitherine is not a part of. Please assure your customers that none of their information has been compromised. This is obviously a serious issue and Digital River is re-evaluating our security to make sure this does not happen again. I also wanted to advise that no credit card information or other payment specific information was ever obtained by the hackers. The data contained names, email addresses, websites, and unique user-identification numbers.
