Hey there chaps, just a quick q on the little men with boomsticks. I have heard that you use em in groups of 4 to support shooting.

So if I get this right just slot em in next to my Jannisaries and let em blast away?

Its because they give an extra minus one on the cohesion tests even if they themselves do not hit. Makes a big difference when they are unlikely to cause a test themselves.

It is better to have the handgunners ahead of a bit to the flank of the Janissaries. As they have such a short range the handgunners have to get close. This makes them vulnerable to being caught by mounted so make sure that you are either firing from a falnk or have sime supports that you can evade through. You only need one handgunner die to get the -1 on chesion so you can form column and move into small gaps between you own BG's.
