Mix between foot and Horse

Post by david53 »

Any idea how the mix between foot and cavalry in a army of the Thirty Years war would work out ie 1 Cav and BG 1 Foot BG.

I have found infomation with regard to Mansfields German Army, at Fleurus the mix was almost 1 for 1 would this work out for the army on the table.

Hope this makes sense.

Cheers

Probably very well, if the lists allow it and I don't see why they would not.

It's a bit post TYW, but the Later English Civil War Royalist (1644) starter army list posted by RBS elsewhere has 4 Horse, 4 Foot and 1 Dragoon at it's core, so that seems a good ratio to aim for.
