We are now in 280BC all around the world it's time to consult Sibylle, Augure, Great Priest and other Druids on the course of the world.
Is it time to expand territory or time to preserve again darkness?

the Druid from Carnut wood have seen very bad omens as the Augure of Pergame

Now it's time to decide the alliance strategy

The Attalids do not fear the mummeries of some naked witchdoctor

(uh, I think bad augere means that after a battle I will roll a dice w a penalty on whether the general dies, correct?)

faction with bad bad Augure(Omen)
- move second
-no stratagema possible
and penalty on siege and peace result

bad Omen affect moral, remember it's dangerous to go again Gods decisions

better to go to Temple than to war

after 2 days of diplomatic activities some factions have decide to become allied

Rome is now allied with Macedonia and Ptolemaic, discussions fails with Carthage, Epire Spain

Carthage: discussions fails with Spanish tribes

Macedonia is now allied with Rome and Armenia

Epire. this faction was the one with the most negotiators
Epire is now allied with Seleucid,Parthes,Celte l,Ptolemaic and Briton they have also accept Bosporan proposition
but negotiations fails with Macedonia,Armenia,Illiria,carthage,spanish tribes and Celte Ht

Spain fail is negotiation with Celte l but accept Pergan alliance
Pergan is now allied with Spanish but fail is negociation with Macedonia
Bosporan is now allied with Epire but fail is negociation with Parthes

Celtes H fail their negotiation with Rome and Illyria

negotiation fail between Armenia and Parthes

Celte L have send no negotiators but have accept to talk with Epire
Seleucid have send no negotiators but have accept to talk with Epire
Ptolemaic have send no negotiators but have accept to talk with Rome and Epire
Briton have send no negotiators but have accept to talk with Epire

7 factions are now at war
Carthage declare war to Rome
Macedonia declare war to Pergam
Ptolemaic declare war to Carthage
Celte HT declare war to Celte L

rules movement
all army are moved one after an other in the following order.

first army of faction at peace
first army of faction at war not with a new war this turn.
first army of faction that declare a new war this turn.
first army of faction again a new war was declared this turn.

if more than army could move at the same time,
order is determine as follow
- faction with no alliance move first then faction with alliance
- faction with the lowest victory rating move first
- faction with bad bad Augure(Omen) move second (see Augure)

so
Illyria will move first as at peace with no allied

then dice will decide for the at peace faction
Epire
Spanish
Seleucid
Armenian
Parthes
Bosporan
Briton

then dice will decide for the at war faction with good omen
Rome, carthage, Macedonia,Ptolemaic,Celte HT

then the 2 faction with bad omens

consequences of movement phase:

Bosporan entering Pontic inactive faction; so one player will be choose to rule pontic army
Gallic H have made an aggresive move into Celte L capital province, there will be possible 2 battles here.
in the desert Ptolemaic will fight Carthagian

3 cassus belli

Spain, Epire, Macedonia have a cassus belli again rome because of rome occupation of Sicilly.

status update of battles:

Pergamum and Macedonia are slugging in out (we are on exact oppostes sides of the globe so might be a little while to finish!)

Celtic H vs Celtic L I issued the challenge a day or so ago, however appears Kap. doesnt check his inbox on this forum, and I often dont check my hotmail account!
Hopefully we'll get started soon

Hmm is it best for everyone to post challenges on the open forum and pm's or via private email? I think its easier to do it here, plus i have access to this forum at work but no access to hotmail (damn those company security filters)

Forum is best for me ... for the same reason mention by TGM - this site is not blocked at work

Perhaps bad Augere is a bad thing after all....

Never have we seen troops perform so badly... mediums losing every one on one vs enemy mediums, heavy units routing after taking 5-10% casualties.... even our elephant routed in one turn without any losses at all!
Our men clearly are superstitious.....
