Bad Rout?

Post by Morbio »

Just seen a rout which I thought could no longer happen. I'm not 100% sure if it's a problem or not, but I thought I'd share it to be sure...

As you can see, the Thorokitai has gone through 2 pikes, I didn't think this was supposed to happen anymore?

It does when you take Navaresse. ; ) Actually that was his only path.

I wasn't 100% sure, but thought I'd ask...

Another question: Do routs have to be a straight line? If not, there is a safe rout path.

I also thought they stopped once this met friends if they were going to rout through more than one unit?

I'm probably wrong in this instance, but I thought I'd ask :)

I would agree that it was the only logical path.

Having retreated one hex, although it met a friendly BG, it was still in contact with enemy BGs so needed to keep going. The next clear space would have kept it in contact with an enemy BG, so it continued in a straight line until another clear hex could be found.
