BATTLE
The Aquitaine army having caught the forces of Aragon and Genoa by suprise, and having beaten back the wing commanded by Aragon, must now face the Army of Geno in battle. Genoa may elect to retreat, which will cause Aragon to also retreat, and break the siege. Genoa must now DECIDE to fight or retreat.

Pope Urban, in an attempt to increase the finances of the papacy, declares that all the minor benefices falling vacant for the next three years are reserved for the pope to dispose (thus ensuring himself the annates, a fee that customarily went along with receiving a benefice). Pope Urban also diverts the estates of deceased bishops into the papal treasury, and demanded special subsidies from some archbishops.

Queen Isabella and Roger Mortimer take up residence at Valenciennes, in Hainault. There they arrange for Edward, Prince of Wales to be betrothed to Philippa, the daughter of Guillaime I, Count of Hainault.
