Just played the Western Desert port defence scenario. Pretty much chewed up the Arika Korps on my front line as they repeatedly threw themselves against the bunkers. Thought - never saw the AI use suppressive fire against fixed positions. Maybe something to think about?

Top tip - pursuing broken infantry units with Bren carriers to force a surrender - works really well in the endgame!

Thanks for the thought - I think they should suppress those kinds of areas - although perhaps not prior to being attacked from there. Might be that we need to give the AI some more knowledge of 'possible' ambush sites.
