Curiosity about some points

Post by caliban66 »

Hi. I´m expecting with illusion this ruleset. I´ve never played Ren. games, and I have some questions, just mere curiosity:
Will be there mixed BG of shooters and pikes or so?
For the people that has played, is shooting much much important? Do good close quarters fighters still have their role?
Is there an improvement on artillery performance during this period, and thus in this game, compared to FoG AM?

Well, from what has been leaked on other replies -

1. Yes, there will be mixed formations of Pike and shot.

2. Yes, shot will be much more effective as the +2 on the death roll in the AM set has not carried forward to the Ren set.

I tried Swiss without real shooters and found that even LH with gunpowder weapons are a potent threat (thank you for that lesson Mr. G!)
