Shock troops charging without orders in bad terrain

Post by zacknafein »

my lancers cavalry is in a forest and are severe desordered, it has a BG of medium foot in charge range. Must i roll to avoid charge? The rule said that they do not charge if their move could end in terrain that disorder or severe disorder them but what happen if they are alreday severe disordered?

Thanks a lot

The rule still applies, if your charge would end in disordering or severely disordering terrain, you would not have to pass a CMT to avoid charging. If you were at the edge of that terrain, and your charge would take you completely out of it, you would have to take the CMT if you wished to avoid charging, despite the fact that you would currently be severely disordered.
