Dismounting cavalry

Post by tamerlan »

Some cavalry, for example Ghaznavid Ghilman, can dismounto as MF; ¿what kind of movement that is and how does it work?; ¿where is it regulated in the rules?

Dismounting is only at deployment - ie there is no dismounting troops are deployed either mounted or on foot - page 147

Ian, they deploy mounted. At the end of deployment they may choose to dismount. Some cunning armies out there can turn into a nasty surprise once your mounted killers are facing them.

Well that is true they can at the end of deployment (like my Arab Conquest lancers) and they can be deployed dismounted - you are right though it is normal to deploy mounted and then dismount to give flexibility.
