Potential error in Gallic List

Post by Lupus »

Hi,

I haven't downloaded the 1.1.1 patch, so if this was fixed, please forgive me.
Yesterday evening I noticed a potential error in two of the Gallic lists in RoR. In both Later Gallic lists one gets chariots (automatically), although the RoR list (page 18, RoR companion book) states, that chariots are only available before 100 BC. In that sense the split of the Gallic lists in 400-200BC and 200-50BC does not make sense.

Cavalry also seems to be problematic, as according to the TT companion is only available after 300 BC.

The question is whether it would make more sense to make RoR (PC) lists for Early (before 300 BC), Middle (300-100 BC) and Later Gallic (100-50 BC)?

Cheers

L

Hmmh,

In the Later Macedonian list on the PC variant, there's a limit of 4-20 for Chalkaspides, in the TT companion it's 12-56; for Agema it's 3-8 on the PC and 8-24 in the companion book.
Now, for all other lists the formula is total bases divided by 2 is the limit for the PC, which is not the case for Agema and Chalkaspides.
Is this an error or has it another reason?

Cheers

L.

P.S.: Sorry to be a pest - I was too long a wargame betatester

Most, but not all items are divided by two from the lists. Pike are generally but not always divided by three. Keith
