I don't think we need an ally list for this - can anyone spot why it would be needed? I can miss things easily :D

Surely it cannot be right for the crappy Venetian miltia to be Later Tercios from 1581 but the good ones only from 1601?

Yup, before 1601 (ish) the only select militia were arquebusier companies, the rest were infantry regiments and from the early 1580's these were 2/3 shot and 1/3 pike. From 1601 (ish) select regiments were used.
