Winner and tournament wrap up

Post by admin »

The final clash of the first Field of Glory tournament has revealed the winner of a $40 coupon to spend on any Slitherine digital download game. The coupon is valid for 3 months after the time it is awarded. Here is the outcome of the final challenge.

Game 1
ianiow (Roman) WIN (20/22)  v   batesmotel (Caledonian) LOSE (40/37)

Game 2
ianiow (Caledonian) WIN (29/37)  v   batesmotel (Roman) LOSE (23/22)

ianiow 2win 63kills
batesmotel 0win 49kills

Congratulations to ianiow!

The tournament has seen 16 participants waging war against each other for over two months. The tournament successfully used the brand new Multiplayer PBEM system launched by Slitherine for Field of Glory. It has been an absolute winner for this kind of competition and more Slitherine games will start featuring the system in the future.

Indeed, many congratulations to ianiow who is, I believe, enjoying similar success in pantherboys' League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.

Thankyou :D :D :D This is the first thing I've won since a sixth form darts competition back in 1982 lol.

All the games I played (v Martin0112, Hollander, ggarynorman, deeter and batesmotel) were hard fought and played in good spirit. A special mention to ggarynorman who I was very lucky to narrowly squeeze past in the group stage!

I will try not to let the success and power go to my head! :P

Thanks Slitherine/Hexwar for an excellent game. Keep up the good work!

Batesmotel is right. As much as I would've like to be in the last round, I was not. Congratulations to both finalists though.
