Fragmented troops being charged

Post by Martin0112 »

I think I found a big difference between the TT-game and the FOG-PC version which may be corrected if I'm correct.

I fought now many battles and I never saw something haopoen, which is quite usual on the TT-game.
A BG, which is fragmented and is being charged normally has to do a cohesion test before any other action (like fighting or evading) can be done.
This may result in a rout, even before contacted at all.
Maybe I'm completely wrong but in the FOG-PC-game, a fragmented BG is never doing such a test (or is maybe using dice only having 5's and 6's on it), as I never saw one routing before being contacted.
Is this intended to be so?

At the moment units that are fragmented do not test cohesion when charged. We are not currently planning to change that as part of the next update. Keith

So if you're not planning to change this buggy behaviour (as in contradicting both he TT rules and the on line help) should we expect this to be the intended behaviour and for the online help to be updated to reflect this? Or is it acknowledged as a bug but one that won't be fixed for the nextg patch?

Chris,

We are planning to update most of the documentation in the next update.

Thanks
