Samurai mounting

Post by irondog068 »

How are you guys mounting your Samurai?
Since my figs are for the later peroid and I play the later peroid I keep the Yumi/Teppo (BW*) on a seprate base so a unit of Ashigaru has 3 bases of Nagatanta (HW) and 3 bases of Yumi/Teppo. I wonder if this is a hassle? for the first time since 79 I am going to play in a tournament and 1) I really don't want to remount a bunch of Samurai that I use for a later peroid. and 2) I don't want to buy a bunch of Yumi figures since they were not used that much past 1570.

Besides if I am buying more 28mm figures they are going to be Perry Koreans! All the mons my Samurai have are for the Imjin War anyhow.

I do exactly the same.... 3 bases of each type in each unit. Perry figures.

Hasnt been a problem at all to me or my opponent.... we did feel it was best to stagger the bases rather than have the front rank all the same and the rear rank all the same....

IMHO, so long as its pointed out and understood beforehand then all should be good.
