Bugs in editor : when infantry changed for cavalry

Noticed very very frequent bugs in the editor : when changing a infantry unit in cavalery unit, the weapons of this unit are erased when scenario is saved and very oft, it is impossible to re-place other weapons, they do not appers (*) even if you replace this unit in the original category. This editor is very frustrating for modding : the more I use it, the more I have the impression that the creator has made all he could do to block modding for this game... This game is great but it is bad to not have efficace editor :(

(*) I have tried all combinations, and tried to restablish original weapons, but the problem was not solved.

This editor allow thorically to players to modify parameters of units, but in fact, when using, you see that it is not a real editor : it allows just minor modifications, and if you do heavy modifications, bugs occurs. To bad... :?

PS: noticed that the bugs occurs only if infantry/Cavalry catégorie of a unit is modified. Perhaps not a bug, but "automatic routine" ?

The editor has some checks to prevent changes that would break the game - Keith can explain exactly how they work but is a bit tied up with Rise of Rome right now.

Ok, thanks. I thought it was that sort of thing.

I finally founded a solution that works for me : using only original cavalry or infantry units, without do combinations, and using these parameters :

Light spear and Swordmen = weapons for cavalry = napoleonic swords 1 and 2
Impact foot = bayonets = infantry weapon
Swordmen+ = Rifle = Infantry weapon


I will wait "Rise of Rome" to choose cavalry units, I think there will be more cavalry choice for my "Napoleonic empire cavalry" with Fog basic game + "Rise of Rome" extension : I need 8 kind of special medium or heavy cavalry.
