Rout in impact

Post by deadtorius »

In todays game I managed to flank charge an enemy unit and it broke during impact from being flank charged and then losing the impact. The enemy had been engaged frontally a few turns before the flank charge. I was wondering if in this case do they rout directly away from the flankers, or do they still split the difference and rout off at an angle from both enemy. I believe somewhere in the rules it talks about routing directly away from a flank charge if it caused the break, just not sure. WE did the rout at an angle from both enemy.

from both.

IIRC the rules are really clear in the section about routing.
