Two -player only battles?

In another thread I noticed a reference to single -palyer battles, implying that there are some battles that are only two-player.

Is that the case and, if so, how many are two-player only?

I'm likely to play this solo most of the time and, given that there are not that many battles to start with, if too many are not single player I don't think I will bother to purchase.

All of the battle allow you to play against the computer - Single Player
All of the battles have the option to have both sides as human players - you can use the same game and computer and take turns playing against another person - you play/I play - two person.
All battles can be played online - all of these are two player games between people sitting at different computers.

Thanks Charles - that's good to hear. Well, no more sitting on the fence - during a quiet time next week I shall have to download it.
