Sashimono's

Post by bertalucci »

Advice please....

Most figure manufacturers show Bushi with Sashimono's.
But most illustrations I've seen there's not a Sashimono in sight!
Did they only become popular in the later firearm period?

What should I buy?

Yes.
Yes!
Yes.
Depends on whether you want your figures to be "historically accurate" or "look like the Samurai in the movies"

when i did an samuria army back in the dark days of DBM the off shoot of Dixon minitures (two dragons) did sashimo's. I think they where in packs of 20 and I found the figs very detailed and flash free.

Bought em.

No sashimono's

Well 85% arrived - rest lost in post!

Really happy that the Bushi use large bases cos otherwise they would not fit.

Figure poses are very 'active' so careful, thoughtful mixing on bases required.

Only real quibble is that some of the cavalry yari poses stab their mates in the face.
