Changing the zooming speed and Xbox controls

Post by Surtur »

Hi,

I would really like to know if there is a way of changing the zooming speed, because right now, it zooms way to slow.
The graphics are really good and I would like to see battles from close up, but because it takes so many times to get the camera close in, I am hardly able to do it.

Second, since this game is also developped on xbox and ps3, how about adding an option to control the pc game with the xbox controller ? I would really like to try this.

Great game btw!

We will look at adding some way to scale the mouse zoom. You can also zoom using the UP and DOWN cursor keys, which should be a lot quicker.

We didn't ship with XBox controller support mainly because of the difficulty in making it consistent across the entire game (such as the multiplayer lobby and some of the other UI). It wouldn't be polished enough if you had to keep going to the mouse to do some of the tasks in the UI, and it would have compromised the UI for the majority of users.

Cheers

Thank you for the respons.

Using the keybord does seem the best option atm. Problem is that my hand is needed to control the camera from the wasd position.
I hope you will add a way of increasing the zoomspeed via the mouse :)

As for the controller, I understand and I can/must live with it.

Yes, zooming definitely needs to be fixed. It takes many, many flicks of the mouse wheel to get close enough to see the fighting, and then zooming out is a painful experience.
