Not able to start game

Post by HumanerTod »

Hi,
running this on a 64bit Vista with AdminRights doesn´t work. Even changed to windowed mode, loaded all patches (incl. java patch).

Game starts, music comes. a blue box with a checkfield appears, then the red "game is loading" screen. Blue box with checkfield still filles half of the window. Game is still loading. If i press the checkbox. Game terminates.

Any idea what to do?

Bye

Sory you are having problems. Can you give us some details on your version and which patches you have installed. E.g. is it retail, what language, etc.

Just bought it yesterday (in Germany). Installed patches from this homepage. 1.06 and java hotfix.
Right now, I tried running it under Windoxs XP (SP2) compatibillity with Admin rights. Seems like the checkbos disappeared and i finaly managed it into the menu to start the tutorial.
I will give it a try if its running.
Thanks for the fast answer. Hopefully i don´t need any more, as i managed to see the Main Screen ;-)

Bye

Ok weird. If you do need more help let us know if you have the Military History version or the original CEAW version without MH branding? What publisher names are mentioned on the box?

Just played it without problems.....
Version is from a Publisher called CDV. Looks like the original CEAW. Grey cover with 4 commanders on top. No sign of "Military History" brand or sth. like that.

Thanks
