Cimmerian Horse Archers proven a slightly problematic issue for an army with limited missle options but enough arrows and sling stones flew true to break some of the Cimmerian horsemen. The Cimmerian irregular infantry found itsself no match for the disiplined Minoan Spears to do help the score along and a few routs by Minoans Spearmen and Chariots of Cimmerian Horsemen and a few chased off the field resulted in a victory with some losses for the Minoans.

Between two mountain the armies met. The Syrians threw most of their core strength at the Minoan left which buckeled and splintered but didn't break while the Minoan right Flank swung around from the Mountain to crash into their flank to shatter their lines.

by 61-49.

This was a hard-fought battle with the Cimmerians gaining an early lead against the Babylonian light foot. The Babylonian medium foot, however, inflicted a significant amount of damage to the Cimmerian horse archers through arrow fire and their forces gradually drew ahead. But with limited cavalry remaining in the endgame, the Cimmerian cavalry punished the Babylonian medium foot through flank attacks. I was very glad to close this one out before my opponent overtook me.

Bagatrix1805 defeated rockmanbob123 by a score of 56-29, very hard game, those bloody cav were deadly i was fortunate that the terrain and large lake made the battlefield smaller , i think on a map with just mud and dust the result would have been a lot different.

Division A

Stones1985 (Assyrian) beat ulysisgrunt (Hittite) by a score of 60 to 56 in an excellent game.

The Hittites selected what can only be described as a Panzer Division style army with a lot of chariots. The Assyrian mainly infantry forces tried to take cover in a marsh and behind some rough ground. Initially this was successful and they started to wear the Hittites down with shooting. But some tricky Hittites got round and started to chew up the Assyrian foot and cavalry support behind the terrain.

The game ebbed too and fro. In the end the Assyrians just prevailed before the time ran out.

Solemnace Minoan 1600-1450 defeats SawyerK Babylonian 890-729 + Neo-Hittite/Arameaan 890-700 allies 45-13

The battle was hard fought for a long while. But slowly buckling under the pressure the Babylonian's and their allies suddenly collapsed with mass routs all across the battlefield to deliver a swifter victory than expected to the Minoan general who thought hours of hard fighting still remained.

Seriously I think the scores were pretty even only for a string of chain routs to wipe the Babylonians off the table.

A grinding chaotic melee between the Hittites and the Minoan eventually turned in the favor of the Minoan spearmen and heavy chariots but only after a most difficult encounter with the Hittites.
