PC2 General Edition serial# does not work

My serial # for the General Edition upgrade gives an error.
It has a U in the last set of numbers. Should not have a letter in a serial# right?

I sent a support ticket to slitherine but they cannot understand what I mean. I sent a screenshot of the serial#.

Hopefully tech support here has more knowledge. I don't want to attach the serial here (even though it doesn't work) but I can email it if that helps.

I finally was able to install the other DLCs and the installer still rejects the General Edition upgrade

even worse, the game won't even run. It shows the launcher, I click play, then nothing happens except the launcher disappears.
The game ran okay about 6 months ago but I had to uninstall due to a failed hard drive and lacking space. I got a new hard drive but now I can't use the game.

I made a very big mistake buying this game. I had a lot of trouble with Slitherine games so I will not buy any more games from slitherine.

did you use your page called my page here to view and change your serials etc?

if yes support can sort it, just email them again and say which has worked and which still doesn't etc and they will reply

I saw this post and was concerned.
I also re-loaded game and DLC's on new W11 machine.

The U stands for upgrade not full game.
The Installer lists the game as bonus content.

Order I loaded:

base PC2 1.10
update 1.17.01
GE upgrade/bonus
then the 5 DLC's I have.

The game runs fine.
