WTC25 INDIVIDUAL PERFORMANCE

Post by Triarii »

A post for the individual's rather than the teams.
Here is the table of individual performance in WTC25.

The table is ranked by the Game Points contributed to the player’s team (A).
It is also interesting to look at column (B) which are the points that would have been scored using Slitherine's tournament system.

Also shown are
(C) Number of games Won.
(D) Number of games drawn.
(E) Number of games lost.
(F) Number of games lost by default (time out) penalty.

Congratulations to the most successful players who were Desperta Ferro’s FireKnightBarcelona and Furor Gallico's random27. Both players contributed a massive 44 points to their respective team's score. However, it is random27 who can claim bragging rights for a slightly higher (4 points) Slitherine score.

No players had a perfect record

Only five players lost just once while winning nine. These five were:
  • 1 Furor Gallico’s random 27 defeated by The Charming Champians’ Triarii
2 Desperta Ferro’s FireKnightBarcelona defeated by Comites’ DocVanNostrand.
3 The Wargaming Club 1’s Simon Lancaster defeated by The Charming Champians’ Triarii
4 Laser Kiwis' Aetius39 defeated by L'épée Rouillée du Destin's nonovitch
    5 Zhu Que’s zmd defeated by Desperta Ferro’s anderarcos11
Well done to these players for their sterling efforts.

Also many many thanks to everyone who participated and so contributed to this tournament.

One final, sad, but important note.
Would you all please spare a moments thought to the memory of Eric Doman (ericdoman1) and Steve Webster (Infinitude).
Eric originally conceived the idea of this team tournament and without whom it would not have happened.
Sadly Eric passed away in April 2025.
Steve Webster (Infinitude) was an active member of the community whom many of you will have played in this and other tournaments.
Sadly Steve passed away in September 2025.

Condolences to both Eric and Steve.. this is terrible news. It was a pleasure getting to know them on the battlefield and through playing battles on the FoG series. Prayers.

I knew Eric was sick, very sorry to hear he is no longer with us. He was a very good player who often won with obscure armies and unusual orders of battle. Our games were usually very close. :(

Really sorry the hear the sad loss of our comrades in arms.

Eric was a great sparing partner and mentor of mine in both FoG1 and FoG2. He will be sadly missed.

I had seen the posts from Eric that he didn't have long left and was sad then as now to hear the news. I was not aware of Steve's passing but had crossed paths with both of them on several occasions. They will be missed, rest in peace both
