how to edit scripts?

Hi!!

How can I edit the scripts of the game?

I looked for those .txt files in my folder but when I open them with notepad or winpad and I change some values (i.e. 25 days/turn instead of 20) it happens that I can't save.

My O.S. is Windows Vista SP1, the game is original and correctely installed. Here the error message that appears to me when I try to save as (or simply to save):


"no Access to hd/folder/file.txt"

What should I do?
