Very few games declared but The Armchair Heroes are breathing down Furor's collective necks and The Wargaming Club 1 jump up to fourth to challenge Zhu Que.

The top two games both have 4 games declared and The Armchair Heroes are now only one win behind Furor and now have the better damage inflicted score.
L'épée and The Charming Champians are both stuttering as they make little headway against their first and second placed opponents. That means they are both overtaken by Laser Kiwi who are now third but The Wargaming Club 1 is also strongly challenging and has a game in hand over the Champians and The Kiwis.
No news from Zhu Que vs Desperta - both teams in with a good chance of a place but now needing wins.
It is all very close.

No team has yet got this tournament sown up.
Furor have re-established their 12 point lead but it is not yet a convincing lead. The Armchair Heroes are just two wins behind with two games in hand.
Meanwhile Zhu Que have only declared two games and sit another 12 points behind The Armchairs. Zhu Que are still potential tournament winners if they post all wins and can certainly challenge strongly for second.
Furor need more points to make sure of the top slot and can't afford more points being lost to The Champians who need those points to challenge again for the third place. However much better placed for the third place, if Zhu Que stumble, are Laser Kiwi and The Wargaming Club 1 with an outside chance for Desperta if they have more success against Zhu Que and can cause that stumble.

Two teams still vie for first and second place. The Armchair Heroes are breathing down Furor's neck as Furor's lead is cut again and is just 5 points with a loss difference advantage of a wafer thin 26.
With two games to declare for both teams if Furor can post 6 more points it is a certain championship for them while The Heroes need to a very achievable score 5 more points than Furor to snatch it.
Meanwhile Zhu Que could just catch up the leaders if their remaining matches were all big bonus wins - unlikely.
However, they have just (on loss difference) reclaimed third from The Laser Kiwis and are best placed to keep that third spot. They do have only three days left to declare five games. The Charming Champians and/or The Wargaming Club 1 could still overhaul Zhu Que and the Kiwis.

The tournament goes down to the last games with no certain ty on the top three placings.
Furor have a 5 point lead and after another loss to The Charming Champians just one game to declare. The Armchair Heroes have two games to declare. Five points more for the Heroes will take Furor off top spot for the first time since round one.
A special mention for Trans-Atlantic whose great round 5 has, like The Wargaming Club 1 and Laser Kiwi, shot them up the table.

The top three teams are now likely to be Furor, Armchair Heroes and Zhu Que but the order is still not clear and depends on results yet to be posted.
Furor have a final loss against The Charming Champians so will not now move off 123 points. The Armchair Heroes have two games to declare. Five points more for the Heroes will take Furor off top spot for the first time since round one but will the games finish in time?
Zhu Que are favourite to stay in third but can still be overhauled by The Wargaming Club 1 with 10 points from two games and if Zhu Que loose their final games or do not post positions. Mathematically Zhu Que could still finish first or second but would need all four unfinished games to be wins.
Three teams, Desperta, L'épée and Boudicca's, can still also shoulder their way into the top half of the table while Trans Atlantic can top off a very succesful final round by rising even higher. All need favourable final results.

Final deadline is 24 hours from this post.
The final outcome of the tournament will be posted after that.

This is the final table for WTC25 and is an incredibly close finish.

• WTC25 Champions Armchair Heroes
  
  WTC25 Runners-up Furor Gallico
  
  WTC25 Third Place Laser Kiwi

WTC25 Champions are the Armchair Heroes with runners up, for a second successive year, being Furor Gallico.
Both teams finished on the same 123 points but Armchair Heroes have an 62 point better, positive, difference between total damage points received and damage points inflicted. Both teams were also the only teams with two of their team members in the top ten individual performing players in the tournament.

Both teams finished a significant 20 game points above their nearest rivals.

Third place was also so very very close. It goes to Laser Kiwi who finished on the same 103 points as last year’s champions, Zhu Que, but rose above them on a mere 15 point better, positive, damage difference.
This pushed Zhu Que to fourth place.
That displacement was largely due to the damage inflicted by FireKnightBarcelona who, although not in a top three team, was with random27 the tournament’s best performing individual player. He may be welcome in New Zealand!

That and other team members success in round 5 also took Desperta Ferro to 5th place nudging aside the Charming Champians. Both teams finished on 102 points but again Desperta had the better positive damage points advantage.

A mere 21 points separated the top six teams.

Two teams had excellent final round performances that lifted them into the top half of the table. Trans Atlantic rose to 7th and The Wargaming Club 1 to 8th. Both of these teams also fielded a player finishing in the top ten individual performances.

This was an incredibly close tournament and many thanks to all who participated.
