FoG:K to FoG2:M setting

I noticed that FoG2:M has a "Conversion Setting" and I'm wondering what it does specifically? The tooltip says it does something with unit conversion from FoG:K but I don't know what. Does it make the battles larger?

It can yes, but I'm not privy to the calculations done here, you are better asking RBS in one of his forum.
