We now more on to the years between 1556 and 1594.

Two of the battles will be fought using extra Nations version 3, and two will be fought using Tercio to Salvo (the only way I could get 4 armies to choose from for each side.

The Habsburg get to choose between;
Spanish-Imperialist 1543-1559
Hungarian 1494-1526
Spanish 1560-1568
Spanish 1569-1599

The antis get to choose between;
Ottoman Turkish 1560-1609
English 1558-1583
Dutch 1568-1577
German States 1570-1589

So please advise me of your first and second choice armies

AHuyton can't play until after the 24th of October so will not play this round, I will take over his army instead.

Andre I can only find Ottomans 1494-1559 in Xtra Nats v 3

It balances the Hungarians I guess ?

For the dates to match, shouldn't this be:

Brian,

there is definitely a Ottoman army 1560-1569, it is actually a pro- imperial army you need to turn off the key so you can see all armies both pro and anti imperial.
The real problem is the Hungarians finish in 1526. Can you please use Polish 1525-1558.

the exact dates aren't that important as long as both armies are within the time period 1556-1594, I've asked Steve to set up the battle, he doesn't use email or the forum so when you have accepted the game you can suggest changing the dates of your army.

Freedom fighters defeat the autocrats 63-23.
This was one odd battle with a mob of tercios sitting in the middle of the field scrapping it out in interminable melees for most of the battle.

We have crushed the Dutch revolt lead by the heretic Doyley50 by 49% to 21%.

We were outnumbered but our foot were of better quality, especially the Tercios of Spain itself. The foot fought each other across a river. A gap in his line allowed my light foot to run down his artillery batteries and then turn in support of the tercios.
He had split his cavalry (mostly reiter) on both flanks whereas we massed ours (mostly cuirassiers) on our right and with God's fortune they shattered his and then turned on the centre.
The quality of our foot was decisive and his army broke

Even Keils Landsknechts and Spanish Tercios can be defeated if you have the right determination (and a little luck).
