What's up with the map editor? Can't be that hard to port the editor over from CEAW -- the games are almost identical.

You'll have to ask Johan on that - we really have no idea what is involved.

Sorry, there are no plans for releasing an editor for Commander Napolon at War. The community for CNAW is simply way too small and there is always a lot of extra technical support directly but also indirectly (people with problems sometimes are modders and they often forget telling that from the start) with modding.

This company seems to be going backwards; I will not be spending any more money on your products again.

I think that is a bit harsh on Firepower. The editor for CEAW was a free extra, not something you were paying for. There was no obligation for him to release an editor for CNAW.

Your "free editor" argument is moot: CEAW and CNAW have an almost identical object model and code base, so there's no excuse not to have one when CEAW does, and why I'm not buying any more of Firepower's products.

It may appear so on the surface but they are significantly different. The amount of time Johan has had to put in to support use of the editor and modded scenarios on CEAW is larger than you might imagine so I think you under estimate what is involved. I agree it would be great to have an editor but Johan has decided he just can't afford the time to do it and it's his call.

Well, the Commander Europe at War editor was never in the released versions of the game but added afterwards for free and as a bonus. Same with the PSP/DS scenarios and its code support which was added free for old CEAW customers once Military History Commander Europe at War was out. If those cases are not signs of Goodwill then I do not know what is!

In no place and at no moment have I promised that from then on all my games will have free add-ons. You decide for yourself whether the glass is half full or half empty, thankyou.
