huge warscore bug

Post by vaalen »

I am near the end of a campaign. I am leading the world in legacy, playing as England. I started as Normandy, conquered England, then most of France and part of spain.I have plenty of money, strong armies, veteran troops, and good leaders.

My nation is a stable empire.I have a large enough domain size, increased by many province leaders, to cover all the territory I have, with room for some more.

Most of Germany is now part of Franconia. I got a claim on a Franconian province, launched a sneak attack, and easily conquered the land I wanted, winning every battle. There have been some revolts, and I lost two regions to rebels, but they will go down as soon as my armies reach them, which will take another turn or two. i have destroyed most of the franconian armies.

When I tried to make peace with Franconia, I found I had a negative war score of over eight hundred, though I had won every battle, except a couple of minor naval ones, and conquered a number of their regions.

This seems impossible, and I have no idea what it came from.

The situation has lasted for several turns.

I ran into a problem trying to use the in game bug reporting system, which is why I am reporting it this way.

The problem is resolved.

Franconia sent me a peacie proposal. The warscore was correct. I sent a counter proposal with no problem, and a one hundred percent chance of being accepted.

I have no idea how this resolved itself

If you still have the save you can make an ingame report of it.
There are 10 kind of hard problems in computer science, naming, cache invalidations and off-by-one errors.
There are also 10 kinds of people, those who understand binary and those who do not.

Interesting. Never had this bug in Empires or Kingdoms. I guess you saw the invisible modifier nations get for some proposals. You know when you try to Absorb them, give them insane Bargaining Points cncession, but chance is still 0%.

Anyway, the thing with Rebels. If you recaptured territory from them wait for 10 turns since they obtained the region in question, and it will become yours without peace deal. Game thinks you captures it from the 3rd side.l, so it legitimately yours.
