1/3 archer allocation for romans

Hi looking for a clairification on the principate LF rear support. Legions trimp. Pg 10 states paraphased auxiliary and legionary units ecluding the mf archer units can have 1/3 LF. Pg 11 has quote "legionary lancarii". Clarification requested: can lancarii have 1/3 LF please?
