Hi, can anyone recommend any multiplayer maps where you get clear, logical objectives (capture this, that's it), and the freedom to choose your own troops?
It seems there are sadly very few of those. Often there's some weird victory point system that forces you to do things that you normally wouldn't, and you are limited in the units you can deploy (they get deployed for you, and you receive reinforcements that you don't ask for or don't even know about until they come).
Just looking for something simple with lots of freedom. "Capture these objectives, do it however you want", something like that.
Thanks for any suggestions
free, simple multiplayer maps?

Re: free, simple multiplayer maps?
Most of the multiplayer maps I've been using are straightforwards kill all the enemy type objectives. Have you looked at the stuff by Parreigo? I highly recommend those. "The Russian Campaign" has victory conditions of capture Berlin for Russia and Capture Leningrade, Moscow and Stalingrad (any order of course) for Germany. Mind you the map is immense, easily ten times larger than anything you'll encounter in vanilla. They have plenty of more normal sized maps too, if you understandably find the scale intimidating, heh. And yeah I definitely prefer being able to pick and choose my units. Control freak I guess

By the way, his name is Parriego, not Parreigo. You made him Portuguese or somethingKarisFraMauro wrote: ↑Tue Dec 31, 2024 2:15 pm Most of the multiplayer maps I've been using are straightforwards kill all the enemy type objectives.
