Excommunicated Muslim

In my current game which has been going since the full release I have been playing Muslim spain now Al Andalus. Just after the new patch I was playing when I got a message that my relations with the Pope are strained and I have been excommunicated. This message popped up for two turns. Being a Muslim country I figured I had bad relations with the Pope anyway but not sure excommunication should have applied.... :?

Apparently this new Pope in 1.04 doesn't discriminate, he hates everyone! :mrgreen: He's been doing it to orthodox too!

If you are in SP and you have the turn before this happening, I can verify it's fixed.
