Slow mouse in FOG2 Medieval after Nvidea Driver update

Post by Paul59 »

Just a heads up about something weird that happened to my FOG2 Medieval today.

After a Nvidea driver update this afternoon my mouse travel speed was very slow in FOG2 Medieval. This was very strange, as the mouse was fine outside of the game, and it was also normal in FOG2 Ancients!

The other strange thing was that when starting the game my desktop would momentarily change size for a fraction of a second. A similar thing would happen when exiting the game, only this time the games main screen would expand in size before disappearing.

I eventually found out that the FOG2M's screen resolution had been changed to 3840 x 2160 (instead of 1920 x 1080). The Nvidea upgrade must have done this automatically, as I never touch the screen resolution! Changing the screen resolution back to 1920 x 1080 cured all the problems.
