AI suddenly became more stupid - suicide attacks

A few days ago I had a problem that the AI didnt move at all. I googles it and found a slitherine employer stating that deleting cache folder and restart scenario should fix it, and it did. Now the AI moves again. So far so good. However since that the AI has acted incredible stupid in a way it didnt do before. It does horrible suicide attacks where odds are really aginst them. It also doesnt shy from moving atillery or AA units into bridge hexes next to one of my strong units only to vaporized.

It really takes the fun out of the game. Any fixes?

AI was always stupid. It liked suicide atacks from release till now. Nothing changed for so many years...

what difficulty are you playing at and before? have you changed difficulty before noticing suicide moves? Have you found a fix?
