BA-10

Post by canuckgamer »

Playing around with the Russian deployment in the Netscape Barbarossa scenario and noticed something odd about the Russian BA-10 armoured car. It has 8 movement points but only if it moves entirely on roads. If even one of the hexes it moves in to is not a road hex it movement is reduced to 5. It has the recon and phased movement specialties.

The German SdKfz 232 8 Rad armoured car has the same two specialties yet it can always can spend 8 movement points regardless of the terrain it moves in to.

They are both wheeled vehicles so is this a bug for the BA-10? If not why the difference?

BA-10 has 4 wheels and uses "wheeled" propulsion.
SdKfz 232 is an 8 wheel and uses "All terrain" propulsion.

Watch the movement type of a unit, terrain info has a sheet that tells you how many points it takes for a unit with certain movement type to enter that hex.
