Adding JLS to chariots

Is it feasible to edit existing chariots to add JLS as a missile option? A number of nations seemed to use them this way, so just curious.

Should be possible with a modded Squads file.

However, in the vanilla game design we don't give chariots or non-light-horse cavalry JLS for game balance reasons.

We are trying to get the right overall effect with chariots without having them dismount to fight, and despite the relatively low number of fighting men in each chariot unit.
