Forced Peace?

Post by WarBonnet »

Hey

Started feeling out the game, been looking great so far!
I haven't yet fully browsed the manual, but I did run into an issue that's unlikely an intentional game mechanic.
Namely, having a peace hoisted on me out of the blue:

I occupied 3 out of 4 of Toledo's regions - all with claims on them. You can see Toledo is proposing a peace treaty, simultaneously to when a peace has supposedly been agreed to.

Did they vassalize to someone? like you?
There are 10 kind of hard problems in computer science, naming, cache invalidations and off-by-one errors.
There are also 10 kinds of people, those who understand binary and those who do not.

That did come up as a reason for a similar thing to happen when I searched before.
But nope, as you can see in the diplo screenshots (which is why I included them).
I appreciate the reply though!

Given that the game is WEGO, there is a delay before you receive the peace offer and can reply to it. In the meantime, they could have played the Submit to Enemy decision and somehow managed not to become a vassal. But it's fishy. You should have received a pop-up, and in theory, invalid proposals are deleted before you see them.

Ideally, if you have the turn before this one, I can try to understand what is happening.

Ty Pocus, I appreciate it! More of a test playthrough so I'm not that invested, but still would be nice to know. Btw idk if this is a possible reason for the issue, but I did try to retaliate against their last remaining region there just before - perhaps that's not allowed

Castilla turn 17 (23.LSF), turn 18 autosave (99001.LSF) & turn 19 (31.LSF). Between T18 and T19 is when things went awry

This appears to be fixed now (for version 1.03), as I reworked the auto-peace mechanics for allied wars. I don't see where the issue could come from otherwise, because if Córdoba had played the "Submit to Enemy" decision, you would have received a pop-up notification, which you did not.
